Saudi Arabia’s electronic tourist visa offers an online route for eligible visitors. The official portal describes a multiple-entry visa valid for a year, with stays subject to a 90-day allowance. Check the conditions shown for your own application before using that description to plan repeat visits.

Match the visa to the journey

The portal lists tourism, events, leisure, family visits and Umrah among the permitted activities, while excluding Hajj and activities such as study. A tourist route should therefore not be used as a substitute for a different permission just because it is available online.

Before making plans around a pilgrimage, confirm any separate access restrictions or permits with the relevant official authority. A general visa description does not settle every rule for every place or season.

Prepare before opening the form

Build a small application folder containing the documents requested by the portal. Use clear filenames so you can distinguish your passport scan from another family member’s. Enter information directly from the travel document instead of relying on an old application or a travel-agent message.

It is sensible to record the intended arrival date, the accommodation you expect to use and an email address you can access throughout the trip. Review every field before payment; a successfully completed payment is not a substitute for checking the approval itself.

For a trip involving several countries, check each country separately. Living elsewhere in the Gulf does not remove the need to check Saudi entry eligibility under the route you intend to use.
