Indonesia's All Indonesia platform now links arriving international passengers to Whoosh high-speed train booking, according to an immigration announcement describing the change from 16 October 2026. The integration is intended to help travellers continue towards Bandung or Karawang after arrival.
For visitors, the more important preparation remains completing the arrival declaration correctly and establishing the visa route before flying.
One declaration, several arrival checks
Immigration describes All Indonesia as bringing immigration, customs, health and quarantine declarations together. The official eVisa portal reminds travellers to submit their arrival card within the three days before arrival.
Prepare the passport, flight details and intended accommodation before opening the form. Review each answer rather than assuming that a shared family itinerary makes every traveller's details identical.
The transport link does not replace a visa
The October announcement says passengers who have completed the declaration can access a link to the Whoosh booking site. It does not describe train booking as an immigration approval or a condition that replaces a visa.
Check the applicable visa or exemption separately on Indonesia's official eVisa service. A traveller may have a completed declaration and a rail ticket yet still need another immigration document for the journey.
Leave time between arrival and onward travel
Our planning recommendation is to allow time for border checks, baggage and the transfer to the departure station before choosing a train. A flight's scheduled landing time is not the time you will be ready to board an onward service.
Save the arrival submission confirmation and transport booking separately, with labels that make them easy to retrieve. If the flight or accommodation changes, revisit the declaration instructions and check whether an update is needed.
Use links reached from the official immigration platform rather than an unsolicited message offering a combined visa-and-train package. The practical benefit is a simpler onward booking route, while the traveller remains responsible for the entry requirements.
