Checked on 21 October 2026. The UAE's jobseeker visit visa gives eligible applicants a route to explore employment without arranging a local host or sponsor. The government portal describes 60-, 90- and 120-day options. Choosing a longer period should follow an eligibility and budget check, not simply a promise from a recruiter.
What does the visa cost in Dubai?
GDRFA Dubai currently publishes these base visit-visa charges:
- 60 days: AED 200.
- 90 days: AED 300.
- 120 days: AED 400.
These are not all-inclusive package prices. The same service page lists VAT, a security amount of AED 1,000 and guarantee-related charges. Additional charges can apply when the applicant is already inside the country. Ask for the complete payable total and the security-return conditions before submitting payment.
Do not compare two quotations until they cover the same duration, application circumstances and included services. A lower headline price can omit costs that appear later.
Prepare eligibility evidence first
The Dubai service requests a photograph, a passport copy with at least six months' validity and a university degree. Its conditions refer to professional skill classifications and university qualifications. This is not an unrestricted job-search entry route for every applicant.
Before purchasing a package, ask the issuing authority to confirm the eligibility basis applicable to your occupation and qualification. Use the current official checklist, including any recognition or attestation requirements, rather than a social-media university list.
Can you start working after receiving an offer?
A visit permission and a work permit serve different purposes. The UAE government's guidance states that visit and tourist visas do not give the holder the right to work. The appropriate employer and authority must complete the work-permission process before you begin duties.
MoHRE issues different work permits for establishments within its remit. The correct process depends on the employer and employment arrangement. A signed offer or a message saying the paperwork is being processed should not be treated as the permit itself.
Plan the search around your actual allowance
Prepare a realistic budget for accommodation, transport, food and returning home. Keep a list of employers, interview dates and the expiry conditions on the permission you receive. These are planning steps, not extra government eligibility rules.
If the search takes longer than expected, check the official extension or departure options before the authorised stay ends. No visa duration can guarantee that a suitable employer will make an offer within it.
