Türkiye’s electronic visa is an official travel permission obtained online by eligible applicants. The official guidance describes it as a route for tourism and trade; other purposes, including work or study, require the appropriate application through Turkish missions.
Check the conditions before you begin
Eligibility can depend on the travel document and the circumstances entered into the application. Read the conditions shown for your case instead of using another traveller’s approval as a guide.
An online payment does not answer whether the permission fits the activity you intend to undertake. Start by describing the real purpose of the journey, then check the route.
Use the passport you will carry
Keep the passport beside you while completing the form. Review the spelling of names, the document number, nationality and dates. If you have more than one passport, be consistent about which one the application concerns.
Use an email address you can access during the trip. Save both the decision and the application reference in a document folder, with a backup copy available if your phone is lost or offline.
Read the issued permission
Before booking a journey that depends on a visa, check the current official conditions and your issued document. Keep validity, entries and permitted stay separate in your notes.
If you intend to remain longer or change the purpose of the visit, seek guidance from the relevant authority before the existing permission ends. The official FAQ warns that overstaying can have consequences. Do not treat a fresh booking or a planned application as an extension.
This guide explains a careful approach to the online process. It does not determine whether a particular traveller qualifies for the eVisa.
